"Harbinger", as in a harbinger of things to come ?? Like a foretelling
?? I guess I have.
Hey, Judaism is God's chosen faith. The Jews are God's chosen people.
The Old Testament of our Bible is their Holy book.......the Torah.
Jesus came for the Jew FIRST, and the Gentile (everyone else) second.
ISRAEL was given to the Jews, as their birthright. Their land.
BUT, the Jews rejected Jesus as Messiah. Today there are two groups.
The Messianic Jews, (some call them Jewish Christians), and they accept
Jesus as Messiah. And, the traditional Jews.
The Messianic Jews basically are Christians. But, I know a couple who
are Messianic Jews. They insist a Jew is a Jew. It's their ethnicity.
It's who God made them to be. So, they reject calling themselves
Christian. But, insist on remaining Jews. Jesus was a Jew. What they
prefer is to call themselves "Completed Jews". Meaning they accept
Jesus Christ as Messiah. They're complete. Just like Christians.
Whereas the traditional Jews reject Christ.
I once thought about converting to Messianic Judaism myself. But, I
never did. I'm a Gentile, and I'm a Christian. We're all gonna end up
in the same Heaven one day. All worshipping the same God. That's the
GOOD news.
If you can find such a congregation, then I'd say that's GREAT. But,
if it's a non Messianic congregation.........who still reject Jesus.
Then I wouldn't recommend it. You'd be leaving your Christian faith.
That wouldn't be a good thing.
